Pitching at EchoHer x TechCrunch Disrupt in My Favorite Jeans

I was walking around my room in my signature wide jeans and t-shirt. Being a 90’s kid, you have no idea how happy I am to finally be out of skinny jeans.

I paced the room, delivering my one-minute pitch with confidence and flair. As the day went on, the pitch slowly… fell out of my head. By the time I jumped into the Waymo, I’d completely forgotten the whole thing.

It was just a small pitch — a few founders and investors — but for me, the nerves were real.

I chose my favorite t-shirt and jeans because that’s what makes me feel like myself.

Even though I was dressed in my most authentic outfit, the butterflies were alive and well.

Part of me thought, maybe I should’ve worn a blazer. Something about being squeezed like a sausage made me feel powerful. I remember thinking, I wish Lila were ready to help me right now — maybe she’d pick something that felt confident but still me.

That’s exactly why we’re building Lila: to help people feel comfortable and confident in who they are, even when they’re nervous.

After the pitch, people came up to me and said how much they needed Lila, too. It was so validating and inspiring to hear that the core message — helping people feel like the best version of themselves — really hit home.

It reminded me that even when we stumble, authenticity shines through.

So if you’ve ever felt that rush of nerves or had a moment where everything fell out of your head — remember: that’s where real connection happens.

Lila’s here to help you feel confident in your moment. 💜

If you’ve ever had that “everything fell out of my head” moment — you’re not alone. That’s exactly why we’re building Lila: to help you feel comfortable, confident, and you in every big moment — from prom night to pitch day.

Pitched Lila at EchoHer x TechCrunch Disrupt

I showed up to EchoHer x TechCrunch in the outfit that felt most “me,” and it reminded me why Lila exists: confidence starts with comfort.
