I Hated Dress Shopping, Until I Found Lila

Some people just know when they find the dress. Could not be me.

You know the type. They walk into the first store, grab something off the rack, try it on, and just… know. Their eyes go soft. The search is over in twenty minutes and they float out with a garment bag and no regrets. I have never been that person.

Hopping Mall to Mall Like It was a Part-Time Job

For me, dress shopping meant hopping from mall to mall, store to store, rack to rack. Prom season or wedding season was practically a sport. An exhausting, soul draining sport that somehow never ended with a winner. 

I got tired just looking at so many dresses. They all sort of started blending together as the questions in my head became a loop. Is this ivory or off white? Do I love sparkles or am I just overwhelmed? Why does everything look so different in the dressing rooms?

By the third store I was no longer shopping. I was surviving.

Then I Found Lila

About the Author

I didn’t take the typical path into marketing, I actually started out studying nursing. While it taught me a lot, I realized it wasn’t the right fit, which led me to explore something new. That’s when I found marketing, and I was immediately drawn to how it blends creativity with strategy.

I’m especially interested in entertainment and beauty marketing because of how fast-paced, expressive, and trend-driven those spaces are. They make marketing feel exciting and constantly evolving.

That’s also what drew me to Lila AI. The idea of helping people find the perfect dress for special occasions, while working at the intersection of fashion and AI, felt like the perfect fit for me. I love that I get to explore emerging technology while working on something fun and personal.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep growing my skills, experimenting creatively, and diving deeper into how AI is shaping the future of marketing. My goal is to eventually build a career in industries like fashion or entertainment, spaces where I can combine creativity, strategy, and a little bit of fun to create something meaningful.
